KING STAN shines as royalty among his competitors. Born in Birmingham, AL and raised in Atlanta, GA since he was crawling, KING STAN now stands as royalty amongst MCs.
He combines the Southern culture and street life with Hip Hop to create a lyrical flow/delivery that moves your head while at the same time massaging the mind.
His music promotes individuality, independence, good times, and the joys of “making it” through any struggle.
Characterized by a very distinctive voice and an ability to create complete concepts, the “KING” is wise beyond his years. The spirit of his music is explained by his pedigree, which includes the likes of blues singers, civil rights activists and his mother being a survivor of the infamous Alabama church bombing (4 little girls). As KING STAN puts it, “Music is more that someone simply yelling obscenities over an instrumental track...its an art form, an expression of spirit and culture.” He attributes his musical influences to Marvin Gaye, Tupac Shakur, and UGK, and DMX.
KING STAN has worked with producers/artists like DJ Red Money, Section 8, Thugz Nation, Witch Doctor of the Dungeon Family, and Pastor Troy of DSGB to name a few. His next release, is a collaboration single entitled “Trust Dat” featuring Pastor Troy and a b-side solo composition, “Pretty Gurlz” which showcases the melody and sing-along west coast feel that King Stan has come to be known for.
King Stan has maintained a street presence by way of appearances and performances at major shows, concerts, conferences (Billboard, Atlantis), etc; various mix tape placements (TX, SC, TN, GA), features on other artist’s songs, television interviews (HHE, Telmundo, ABC News), magazine write-ups (Rolling Out, Ozone), mix show radio play in GA (Macon, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus) and the street release of his own mix cd “Go Getta” which became a staple during the tail gate sessions this past football season.
Guaranteed to please, KING STAN is continually holding court as one of Atlanta’s most talented, up and coming jewels in the rough. Coming off of a successful local release of his 1st album, “Slanguage-SWAT Hilly”, KING STAN prepares to build upon an already existing fan base in GA, AL, SC, TX and FL with his sophomore effort “Still Slangin.’” that will follow the buzz generated by his upcoming singles. Sooner or later, all will hail this proven provider of quality entertainment.
